Our goal as the Drones working group is to: communicate the potential of drone-associated research to contribute to improving our understanding of tropical forests, to help researchers find resources to initiate and/or improve drone-related research, and to build resources to facilitate cross-site studies using drones.
In doing so, we started building dynamic metadatabases that will create resources for group members and others looking for publicly available papers, protocols, and/or code to aid in their research, and/or seeking to identify potentially suitable datasets and collaborators for multi-site studies.
Please feel free to navigate to the pages on this website to get more information on the available metadatabases and to find the surveys to contribute information to the respective metadatabases.
We are proud to be one of the working groups within the Alliance for Tropical Forest Science (ATFS) network. ATFS brings together researchers, practitioners, and institutions committed to advancing tropical forest science through collaboration and knowledge exchange. You can explore the full list of ATFS working groups and learn more about their efforts here.
